Sylvia A. Gisi, M.D.
Dr. Gisi has looked after families in Temecula since 2002, and has run her own independent practice here for more than twenty years. In her own words she specialises in women's health — though she enjoys treating the entire family, and many of her patients have been with her long enough that she now sees their children.
She trained in family medicine at Riverside County Regional Medical Center after graduating from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, and has since added integrative and functional medicine, nutrition and herbal therapy to how she practices. Her instinct is to look for the cause rather than to treat the symptom, and to use nutritional support as a first-line therapy where it genuinely fits.
Being independent is the point. There is no rotating panel of providers here — the doctor who sees you is the doctor who knows your history.
"She specialises in women's health, although she enjoys treating the entire family." From the practice's own description
Family medicine, with a women's health focus.
One physician who knows your history — treating the whole family, and going deeper on the areas most family practices refer out.
- 01
Women's health
Well-woman visits, hormone health and menopause care, family planning and contraception. Dr. Gisi's primary focus, and the reason many patients come to her.
- 02
Preventive care
Annual wellness visits and screenings — the yearly check-in that catches things early.
- 03
Integrative medicine
Looking for the cause rather than only treating the symptom, using nutrition and lifestyle alongside conventional care.
- 04
Hormone replacement
Hormone health assessed and managed as part of your wider care, not in isolation.
- 05
Depression & anxiety
Mental health treated as part of your overall care, by the doctor who already knows your history.
- 06
Pain management
A considered, conservative approach to chronic pain, coordinated with the rest of your care.
- 07
Lifestyle, nutrition & weight
Structured lifestyle programs, nutritional guidance and supplement support, used as a first-line therapy wherever it can be.
What to expect, so nothing is a surprise.
- 01
Call the office
Booking is by phone on (951) 303-6158. Have your insurance details to hand so the office can confirm your coverage before your visit — plan participation changes, so it's always worth checking first.
- 02
Complete your forms at home
New-patient paperwork is sent ahead of time. Filling it in beforehand is what keeps your first appointment about your health rather than about admin.
- 03
Arrive thirty minutes early
Bring your completed forms, photo ID, insurance card and a list of your current medications. For a child, bring their Social Security number and a parent's.
- 04
Your visit, and afterwards
You'll see Dr. Gisi herself. Afterwards you can view records and message the office through the secure patient portal; refills go through your pharmacy or the office directly.
A note on office policies: cancellations need at least 24 hours' notice; employment, disability, Social Security and FMLA forms carry a $50 completion fee; specialist referrals must be authorised in advance. Medicare assignment is accepted and secondary insurance is billed on request.
Request an appointment.
Send the office your details and they'll call you back to confirm a time. No account to create, and no security puzzle to solve.
