Time with your doctor
We do not double-book appointment slots. That one decision shapes everything else: waiting times are short, appointments start close to the time you were given, and there is room in the visit to ask the second question.
It also means we ask something of you in return — book your visit for the reason you need it, tell us clearly what is going on when you call, and give us 24 hours' notice if you cannot make it. That is what keeps same-day appointments available for people who are unwell.
What you can expect as a patient
- A thorough annual physical
- Preventive care tailored to you, your history and your risks
- Ongoing management of your overall health, not just one condition at a time
- Appointments that start on time
- Clear recommendations, and referrals to specialists when you need them
Prevention first
Our focus is the prevention and treatment of disease, with a proactive approach rather than a reactive one. That means screening at the right intervals, taking family history seriously, watching the numbers that predict trouble years before it arrives, and being honest with you about what would make the biggest difference.
Preventive care is also where most people get the most value from their insurance, and we will help you understand what your plan covers.
Integrative and functional medicine
Dr. Gisi works in integrative and functional medicine alongside conventional family practice. The approach looks for the underlying cause of a problem rather than treating the symptom in isolation, and it takes seriously the interaction between genetics, environment, nutrition and lifestyle.
In practice that means combining conventional medicine with approaches such as bioidentical hormone therapy, nutrition and herbal therapy. Dr. Gisi believes in using nutritional supplements as a first-line therapy where that is appropriate, while recognizing that medication treats many conditions effectively and should be used when it is the right answer.
Care for the whole family
We treat patients of all ages, from newborns through to older adults. Dr. Gisi has a particular focus on women's health, and enjoys looking after entire families — which often means knowing three generations of the same household and the history that runs through them.
